Over the next months we have the following planned in the Clubhouse:

Friday 2nd Dec - Quiz Night - everyone welcome with cash prizes. 7.30pm start, £1.50 per team, food available. There will also be a quiz night the 1st Friday of each month over the winter. Just turn up on the night and have fun!

Saturday 10th Dec  - Children’s Christmas Party - Santa will be at Swindon to give the Children a Christmas Present. There will also be children’s entertainment and food. Tickets £6 per child, only 36 places remaining. 2pm – 5pm. Please speak to the bar to book.

We also have spaces for Christmas Parties – have you booked your works outing? Free use of the function room for members during this period. More information by clicking here.

Online sign up for our popular Open Competions in 2012 opens up today.

Applications for entry into our 2012 Open Competitions are invited through our 'online' sign up system. Please enter and pay the appropriate fees either online using a debit or credit card, or by printing off an application form, and posting a cheque to the address shown on this website for the attention of the Competitions Secretary.

Please remember our Opens are open to all Swindon Golf Club members, visitors, Ladies teams, Mixed teams or any combination of members & visitors. Juniors with full playing handicaps may enter but must have at least two adults as part of their team.

All entrants should have an active  handicap to qualify for prizes.

Our new look website goes live shortly,  please note the members area is unchanged, although it will be styled differently. To login, please click on the login tab in the menu bar, or the top right of the web page.

I would like to thank all the players that played on Thursday in the Texas Scramble which was very close in all the matches. May I congratulate Swindon who came in first place.

First from Swindon: Tom Taylor, Don Siverns, Mal Watkins, Terry Langford, their scores were 52 .2.

Second from Brockton: D Braddock, M Fletcher, K Heath, G Fairhall. Their score was 52.4.

Third place from Swindon:  Wheeler, A Powell, Eddie Jones, R  Wouiton. Their score. 52.8/ 36 In.

Fourth-place from Swindon: Robert Lee, Graham Hawkins, John Grainger, Alan Brooks, Rugeley. Their score 52.8 on count  back/ 30 In.

Fifth-place from Warmley: Colling Quiller, Mike Riley, Rob Tompkins, Geoff Faulkner. Their score of 53. 34 In.

Sixth-place from Swindon:  Darryll Norwood, Brian Meath, Tony McNevin, Steve Phillips. Their score 53. 33 In.

I wish to thank all the other teams that took part, all the ground staff and the catering which was enjoyed by all.  May I also make special mention  to Kath Lamasz for helping me.  The course I must mention was in excellent condition in particular the greens and fairways.

I hope to see you all next year which will be 19 April 2012.
